The nature of the honor becomes clear as you peruse their catalogue, which includes such lights as Poet Laureate Ted Kooser.
This came about after I approached Gibraltar co-founder Guy Duncan for advice on publishing the physical book of our first couple of years of posting. (See above.)
Ken and I have received ample compensation from Gibraltar in the form of copies of the exquisitely fashioned broadside and pamphlet. Purchases go toward supporting the work of Gibraltar. A brief survey of Gibraltar’s work, created by Guy’s co-founder Denise Brady, will support your decision to purchase any selection from the amazing array of items available, each one a unique, hand-made work of art.
How did this come about? When you read Gibraltar’s “Who We Are” page, you will see a biography of Guy’s father, Harry, ” the father of the post-World War II private press movement” according to Newsweek Magazine. It was my privilege to know Harry and his wife Nancy Duncan (with whom I collaborated on many theatrical projects) in Omaha when Guy and his two siblings were children. When Ken and I started thinking about making a book of our work, Guy came to mind as a source of advice, and the rest followed from there.
